OUR MISSION- Through a Filipino lens, we aim to strengthen cultural identity and awareness among Northern San Mateo County youth through community involvement, collaboration, creativity, and education.
- We encourage academic achievement, leadership development, and the development of community organizing skills.
WHO WE AREThe PILIPINO YOUTH COALITION – San Mateo County is a proud program of Daly City’s Liwanag Kultural Center that serves as a support group of mostly high school-aged students with the guidance of a supportive, youth-friendly team of adult PYC Advisors. Although we are highly comprised of Pilipino youth, we do value diversity. Any young adult, regardless of ethnic background, is welcome to join us at PYC-SMC.
COME THROUGHPYC-SMC meets weekly every Wednesday from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Liwanag Kultural Center, located at 222 Lausanne Ave. in Daly City, just up the hill from T.R. Pollicita at Hillside Park. Click here for a map. Feel free to bring a friend…or two or three…. The more the merrier!
